Missions
The United Methodist Church has a foundation of giving time and resources to local, state, national, and global missions. Many missions that Salem United Methodist Church participates in has a large impact on our community! There is a place for everyone! If you are in need of help, please reach out to Bro. Justin at the church office (501-316-2282) and he can help you get assistance. If you are looking to volunteer, Denise Willoughby (501-316-2282) will be happy to assist you in finding the right fit for you.

water and Gatorade donations to keep on site for workers and volunteers
welcome basket for new homeowners (water hose, nozzle, and sprinkler)
monetary donations
We have a commitment to provide lunch for the crews on the first Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in volunteering in this mission, please contact Kathy Turpin at (501) 680-6470.
Stone Soup
The EPIC Youth regularly serve at a Quapaw Quarter UMC in Little Rock to cook and serve a meal to the homeless in the area. The more hands they have the better, so anyone is able to join! Anyone younger than 7th grade must be accompanied by an adult. They go and serve on the first Sunday of even number months and meet at 12:45 in the church parking lot. The church van departs at 1 pm and the group returns no later than 5 pm.
If you aren't able to come and help serve, the ministry has expanded to also take NEW socks to pass out to the people in need. They were so grateful for the socks in October, they are continuing it for December.
CJCOHN
CJCOHN (Churches Joint Council On Human Needs) is a local organization that helps those in Saline county to meet their needs. They are open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month for donations.
They are currently in need of bar soap, powdered laundry soap, and volunteers to assist in projects. Please contact the church office for more details. They are not in need of items such as clothing, egg cartons, or plastic bags.
Salem UMC has geared up in preparation for Christmas baskets! We are looking to make 50 baskets with cake mix, white or chocolate frosting, and stuffing. Drop your donations off at the church by December. 8.
City Connections
Salem UMC works with FUMC Bryant to serve Saline county with pre-packaged meals. These packing parties are full of fun and embody the service mindset of Charles Wesley.
Blessings Box
School's out and that means children's access to school lunches & breakfasts are not available. We provide local community members staple food items along with other personal and mental care items. Please include kid-friendly food and drinks that kids can open and warm up by themselves. Our blessing box is located outside our front office.
Storage for extra supplies is in the Legacy Builder's classroom. Feel free to drop off supplies there, in the donation box outside the church office, or directly in the Blessings Box.
Leave what you can and take what you need.
Summer Cereal Drive
Thanks for the donations for the Summer Cereal Drive! Salem UMC donated over $1,200 for this year's drive!
